Louie and Me is a brand built on respect for forgotten remnants, taking remarkable materials and giving them a new life. Each garment is a hand sewn original creation meant to be passed down. Any imperfections in the fabrics is part of its history.
My Process
As an interior designer in South Florida for over 25 years, I’ve collected thousands of remnants, samples and discontinued fabrics. Most of the fabrics are from European origin and include boucle, brocade, damask, embroidery, jacquard, linen, pique, satin, tapestry, velour and velvet. Louie and Me is known for its exceptional bomber jackets. I start with a fabric inspiration and the clothing involves from there. I have pieces with as many as 14 combined fabrics. It is the incredible combinations of fabrics which make the brand so unique and desirable.
